A Hogwarts Halloween
Posted on September 30th, 2014

A Hogwarts Halloween at James Blackstone Memorial Library

Fans of Harry Potter, young and old, are in for a magical treat the weekend of October 11th and 12th. The Blackstone Library will be transformed into Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. If you’ve ever dreamed of visiting Hogwarts, walking its hallowed halls, and climbing its winding stairs, this is your chance!

A Hogwarts Halloween for Kids

Children attending one of four available daytime sessions will get the feeling they truly have entered the halls of Hogwarts. Upon arrival, children will be escorted by Prefects to the Great Hall, where they will be greeted by Prof. Dumbledore. From there, attendees will take classes in Charms, Potions, and Divination. There will be Quiddich practice, where children can practice Baffle batting, Quaffle catching, and broom riding in the thrilling virtual broom ride experience! And no one will leave without their wand from Ollivander’s Wand Shop personally matched by Ollivander.

These sessions are drop-off only, with Prefects escorting the children through their 2 hours of classes. Admission is $25 per child. Costumes are encouraged. For children ages 6 and up. Visit blackstonehalloween.org to reserve your child’s place. Choose from four available sessions:

Saturday, October 11, 10am to noon or 2pm to 4pm
Sunday, October 12, 11am to 1pm or 3pm to 5pm
