Trolley Museum Open House
Posted on January 12th, 2015

The Shore Line Trolley Museum, 17 River Street, East Haven, CT 06512 will be hosting an Open House for potential volunteers on Saturday, January 17th at 10AM.
The museum is looking for all sorts of help, especially event planners, building and groundskeepers, trolley operators, track and signal repairmen, car restoration workers… If you have an interest, we will train you.
Potential volunteers will tour the museum exhibits, take a trolley ride through some of Connecticut’s most scenic salt marshes and learn more about the types of work volunteers can do from current museum department leaders. Bring along a friend or spouse who also might be interested.

The Shore Line Trolley Museum is a National Historic District, preserving the oldest continuously-operating suburban trolley line in the United States. Numerous trolleys are the first and last of a kind that have been brought back into service as part of our active restoration program. The average age of the collection is over 102 years old. We are an educational Non-Profit with numerous free programs for the public. This is a great way to give back to the community. For information:, 203-467-6927.
