 Intro to Word: Intermediate & Continuing Practice

Shoreline Greenway Trail Town Meeting

Branford team of the Shoreline Greenway Trail will present the progress of the trail in Branford and in other towns along the 25 mile proposed trail.  As always, we welcome public participation as we move forward. Light refreshments served. 

The Fantasy World of Norman Rockwell

Norman Rockwell wrote, “I can’t paint ugliness, the sordid side of life.” A chronic depressive, he painted rather than lived his happiness. Psychobiographer Fred Biamonte will analyze how Rockwell rationalized his inner world of depression with the external world of his pictures.

Vampire Folk Belief in Historic New England

Vampire folklore was rampant in New England from 1780-1890s, and a combination of disciplines helps archaeologists today discover more about this period in New England history. CT State Archaeologist Nick Bellantoni will talk about uncovering the vampires in Connecticut.
