Intro to E-mail

In this introductory class you will learn the basics of using e-mail.  Attendees will have the opportunity to create a personal e-mail address and learn some information about navigating and composing e-mails.  Registration is required. To register, please call the Reference desk, extension 318.
 
Writer’s Workshop

Whether you want to work on your memoir, explore your creativity in the world of fiction, or craft essays, this group will give you the opportunity to work on your writing in a supportive environment. What’s the Buzz?: Honeybees & Beekeeping

For the Sake of the Country: Female Spies in the Civil War
Tuesday, June 30 @ 7:00 pm
When you think of the role women played during the Civil War, do you think of laundresses, homemakers, or nurses? Would you ever think of spies? Female spies played an essential role in shaping the political, military, and social landscape. Come learn about four extraordinary Union & Confederate spies who risked all for the sake of their country. Presented by Matthew Bartlett, a 2013 graduate of American Military University with a Master’s in Military History with a specialization in the American Civil War. His specialty is the battle of Gettysburg, about which he has written six books. A historian and lecturer, Matthew and his wife belong to the 14th CT CVI, Company F. Sponsored by the John Loeb Lecture Fund and the Friends of the Blackstone Library.
