She Has Been Helping to Make Independence Possible for 30 Years

Georgia Payne has worked as both a volunteer and part-time employee at SARAH’s Cupboard Thrift Shop for over 30 years. She sorts and prices clothing which is the top selling item at the store. Georgia’s son, Richard, has been a SARAH participant most of his adult life.
This year, Georgia, will be retiring from her position at SARAH’s Cupboard to try her hand at other activities. Everyone that knows Georgia knows that she has a positive outlook on life, always a smile on her face and that she will definitely find something interesting to do. Georgia is an inspiration to all of us at SARAH and to the customers at SARAH’s Cupboard.
SARAH’s Cupboard Thrift Shop has operated for over 30 years at 155 Meadow Street in Branford. The shop has a wide variety of gently used clothing and accessories, household items and furniture. The proceeds support SARAH programs for people with intellectual and other disabilities who live in Connecticut (www.sarahfoundation.org).
