Michelle Panzo Promoted to the Orange Branch of Connex CU
Posted on August 10th, 2016

Seeking a new Branch Manager for its Orange, Conn. branch, Connex Credit Union has selected to promote Assistant Branch Manager Michelle Panzo. Panzo has had involvement with nearly every facet of the credit union and has been part of the Connex family since beginning her tenure more than 25 years ago.
Panzo began her Connex career in 1988 as a full-time teller before progressing to a service coordinator. She obtained leadership functions when she oversaw all branch staff in her position as cashier, and in her eventual role as mortgage coordinator in the consumer lending department in 1995. She spent more than a decade in this department eventually serving as consumer loan officer from 2002 through 2007. Panzo leveraged her success in these ventures to transition back into branch work as an Assistant Branch Manager, a position she has held at nearly every Connex branch. She has been an Assistant Branch Manager for nearly ten years and was most recently stationed at the Orange Branch prior to her promotion to Branch Manager.
As Branch Manager, Panzo will be dedicated to helping Connex adhere to its mission statement, “Improving the lives of our members, one member at a time.” In this role, she will be expected to provide outstanding service to all members, find solutions for their financial needs and ultimately improve their fiscal lives. Panzo will also be heavily involved with business development to assist Connex with continuing its branch growth and increasing profitability.
“Michelle has been a valued member of Connex for nearly three decades and we are confident that her demonstrated member advocacy, work ethic and personality will allow her to succeed in her new role as branch manager and lead our mission to improve our members’ financial lives in the Orange Branch,” said Jason Rochefort, assistant vice president of customer advocacy, Connex Credit Union.
Panzo graduated from the University of New Haven with a degree in political science, but shifted to a financial field when she discovered helping people improve their fiscal situation better suited her personality. In her spare time, she enjoys entertaining friends at her home, crafting and spending time with her dog Roxanne.
In 2015, Panzo coached the winning contestant of ConneXfactor, Connex’s highly-regarded financial fitness competition.
