Connex Credit Union Offering Two FREE Financial Literacy Workshops in March
No-obligation seminars will discuss retirement accounts and first-time home buying

NORTH HAVEN, Conn. (Mar. 2, 2017) – Connex Credit Union, one of Connecticut’s largest credit unions, announces its highly-regarded financial literacy series will continue in March with two FREE workshops. These no-obligation seminars are available to both members and non-members as part of the ConnexCares philanthropic initiative. Seasoned industry professionals will provide attendees with the information necessary to take the first step in restructuring their financial lives.

The first workshop, “Steering Toward Retirement with Individual Retirement Accounts,” will be hosted by Connex Investment & Retirement Services Representative William DeBille. Attendees will discover different types of Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) and determine which one fits their situation best. This class takes place Thursday, March 23, 2017, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Connex’s North Haven Branch located at 412 Washington Ave.

The March workshops conclude with “Buying Your First Home” lead by Connex Mortgage Loan Consultant Mark Frank.  Frank will cover the basics of the home buying process from start to finish, including what to expect when purchasing your first home.  “Buying Your First Home” takes place Thursday, March 30, 2017, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Connex’s North Haven Branch located at 412 Washington Ave.

Both of these workshops are available via webinar for those unable to attend in person.
These seminars are free, but registration is required and can be completed by calling 1-800-CR-UNION (1-800-278-6466) or visiting connexcu.org. You will be presented the option to attend in person or via webinar during this process.  The workshops are open to members and non-members of the credit union, but act fast, seats are limited.
