Launch Of CT Mediation & Arbitration Services, LLC Announced and Partners with Your End of Life Doula Offering a Coffee Talk – “Naughty or Nice – Keeping the Peace with Family over the Holidays”

Connecticut Mediation and Arbitration Services, LLC, based in Guilford, was recently founded to provide individuals and businesses non-adversarial methods to resolve their conflicts.  The company offers mediation for wills and probate disputes, civil litigation and family law matters including divorce and custody.   The Company provides a unique perspective of the alternative dispute process by crossing more spectrums than other companies coupled with offering a span of mediators and arbitrators to meet your specific needs.

President Cynthia Cartier is passionate about this subject, wanting to ensure that people are able to resolve issues in an amicable manner.  "I founded the company to provide individuals and businesses non-adversarial methods to settle their disagreements, through mediation. Mediation is about working together to find agreeable solutions, thereby also avoiding lengthy conflicts that often escalate."

Cartier has been practicing law for 25 years including a partner at Cartier & Bower, LLC. Over the course of her twenty-five year career, she has dedicated a significant portion of her practice to alternative dispute resolution both as a participant and as a mediator/arbitrator and has experienced first-hand how important it is to find alternatives for dispute resolutions. Expanding her law firm and founding the company was the next logical step for her, having recognized that there must be a better way to resolve conflicts between people. "In the middle of every conflict, lies an opportunity for a meaningful resolution," she adds.
The Company strives to achieve success in resolving conflict.  “Mediation is a negotiation process in which the disputing parties are assisted by a neutral third-party—a mediator.  Our mediators are trained to facilitate discussions and allow the parties to work out their own solution to the problem.   If the mediation process fails to bring about a settlement or if the conflict would not initially benefit from mediation, we further offer an arbitration process, which a neutral third party will hear both sides and render a legally binding decision,” states Cartier.

To present her new Company, Cartier is partnering with Patti Urban, Owner of Comfort Keepers and Your End of Life Doula to offer a Coffee Chat “Naughty or Nice – Keeping the Peace with Family over the Holidays” on December 14, 2016 from 5-6 pm at Guilford Dunkin Donuts, 556 Boston Post Road.  Coffee and treats will be served.
“Families struggle over the holidays with illness of a loved one, marital issues or dealing with other family members as they come together in an attempt to celebrate,” said Patti Urban, Owner of Comfort Keepers and Your End of Life Doula.  “We offer some tips and resources to help families with these challenges.”
“Through our combined fifty plus years of experience, Patti and I are here to help you deal with the challenges that we all face – getting along with family members over the holidays and throughout the year,” states Cartier.

The website, www.ctmediationarbitration.com, also includes an extensive blog with advice, information, and guidance for people who need more help with any kind of conflict. This includes custody cases, divorce success stories, and arrangements to make before someone dies, thereby avoiding conflict later on. People are encouraged to contact Cartier as soon as possible to utilize her services in the resolution of any type of dispute.

Cynthia DeMatteis Cartier, JD, LLM is President of Connecticut Medication & Arbitration Services, LLC, which provides conflict resolution for family, elder and civil matters. She is also a partner at the law firm of Cartier & Bower, LLC, a general practice firm focusing on family and elder law.  She can be reached at (203)458-1477 or ccartier@cartierbower.com.

Patti Urban is the Owner of Comfort Keepers, which provides at home care and Your End of Life Doula, a company that educates people on what end-of-life care is all about and how best to plan for it when you are healthy so you have peace of mind.  She can be reached at (203)493-7564 or yourendoflifedoula.com
