Women & Family Life Center Welcomes Jen Fournier as Interim Executive Director

[Guilford, CT]– Women & Family Life Center (WFLC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jen Fournier of Racebrook Consulting as its new interim Executive Director. As a strong advocate of promoting equity for women and all families in the Greater New Haven community, Jen brings more than two decades of nonprofit leadership and community engagement experience to her new role at Women & Family Life Center. Known for her work in mission-driven leadership, inclusive employee culture, and legal compliance, Jen is committed to creating compassionate and empowering spaces for individuals and families to thrive. “For over 30 years, Women & Family Life Center has been a safe place that offers compassion and hope,” says Jen. “By collaborating with nonprofits in Connecticut, Women & Family Life Center will continue serving those who are experiencing the most difficult times in their lives with a people-centered approach.”

Jen will lead the organization while the Board of Directors conducts a search for a permanent Executive Director. In addition to her new role at Women & Family Life Center, Jen is also the Chairperson for the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce’s Nonprofit Resource Council Steering Committee, the President of the NAMI Elm City Board of Directors, and she serves as the Chair of the HR Committee & Board Secretary for the Beth-El Center. “Our organization provides invaluable programming and an extensive network of resources centered around empowering the women and families we support,” said Lynn M. Pinder, Chairperson of the Board of Director at Women & Family Life Center. “Jen is lending us her extensive experience to assure that we continue to offer services at no cost to residents of 15 towns in Connecticut.”

Towns that Women & Family Life Center serve are Branford, Chester, Clinton, Deep River, Durham, East Haven, Essex, Guilford, Killingworth, Madison, Middlefield, North Branford, North Haven, Old Saybrook and Westbrook. The mission of Women & Family Life Center is to support and empower women and all families during challenging life transitions. Women & Family Life Center provides personalized support and guidance with programs including career services, divorce workshops, bereavement support groups, individualized appointments a referral navigator and so much more. Working together in partnership with local agencies, Women & Family Life Center envisions communities where women and all families are free from violence and harassment, are economically and emotionally secure, and have access to equitable opportunities.
