Ed Lazarus, President

From the Co-chairpersons:

It is hard to believe that the Guilford and Branford Chamber merger will be celebrating its first year anniversary January 1, 2015.
It has been a busy year for the new Shoreline Chamber for both the Chamber Staff and the Board of Directors.  The merger was the main focal point for 2014; however we were busy with a host of events and Business After Hours (BAH’S) networking opportunities.
The monthly Business After Hours event has consistently generating 100 plus members at every event through the year.  This is a major increase over prior years for both the Guilford and Branford organizations. This event is a great way to network your business especially with the increased number of people and businesses in attendance. This is one of the value added opportunities that came about by way of the merger.
The merger has allowed the membership base to double; this will allow members to double their audience, double their market and provide enhanced networking opportunities
Among the merger advantages are the following:
Increased marketing and promotional opportunities through distribution of publications, website visits and email communicationsBetter educational programs for professional developmentMore signature events to attend and potentially sponsor as each town and the chamber will continue and maintain this type of eventLarger social media presence and website traffic to membership pagesOpportunity to re-brand as a member of  a larger more influential 600 plus-member chamberEventual gain of resources through economies of scale, allowing more money to go directly to member servicesEnhanced technology for website referrals and member services
What we do for you:
Support – One of the largest benefits, your Chamber is here for you for anything you need in business. With our network of contacts, if we can’t answer your direct question, then we know someone who can, and we’ll make that introduction.

Involvement – Between our own events and those within the towns of Branford and Guilford, we keep a pulse on everything going on. Feeling the need to network or to have some fun? We can give you at least a couple of options any day, any time!

Networking – The most sought-after benefit of being a Chamber member, your ability to network just got stronger. The Shoreline Chamber doubles the network for previous members of Branford and Guilford, so you can meet new people and expand your business along the shore.

Social – sometimes you just need to kick back a little, and we’re here to help with that too. With a plethora of social events, having a good time should never be difficult.

Education – With seminars and programs, we aim to keep you and your company at the cutting edge of doing business within our shoreline communities.

So there you have it! We love being your resource, and the strength of any Chamber is in its membership.

We would love for you to help spread the word about how we’re doing and how we can help your friends and fellow business owners who may not yet know how great it can be to be among the Shoreline Chamber membership.
